Set in Cape Recife (1849), Port Elizabeth. This office is inspired by the Cape Gannet, a bird which makes its home on Bird Island close by, the office uses the birds, social characteristics, colours and overall structural curve of the bird in its design. This office concept offers a variety of workspace types from club layout for the more outgoing and younger employees, to the quietness of the cell layout for the older generations this office has a space for all types and age groups, creating community and family.
Employee Work Area
Hive and Club styled working spaces work well for younger generations - as younger people tend to thrive on social interaction and collaboration even in a working environment. The flexibility of these two styled allows for employees to have temporary working tables. As opposed older generations who prefer quieter, individual and set workspaces - making the Cell styled workspace suitable for them.
Boardroom
A closed boardroom in the employees division of the office building allows for private meetings to be made, as well as quieter spaces to work and brainstorm in groups.
